Good Core Back From 2023-24 Season
Evensville, TN -- Randy Mathis is back for his 6th season at the helm of Rhea County High School Softball. He will have a core group back from last season, including one senior Olivia Day, juniors Chelsea Reel, Allie Shaver, Lakyn Lockhart, Hailee Kosek, Galille Raymer, sophomores Hattie Johnston and Neylee Poole. During preseason practices the girls will be competing for each and every position on the field. Three seniors, Gabi Messer, Baily Roberts and Sadie Burton have graduated.
Coach Mathis said, "We have lots of talent with this younger group that will be fighting for a starting position. Sophomore Brook Tallent had a great winter workout as well as many of the freshman. Sophomore Neylee Poole is still questionable, as she is nursing a pretty significant injury sustained during travel ball. Freshman Reece Brown, Bristal Hennesseey, Aubrey Reese and Ava Sanders could be in the mix."
