Rhea County Cross Country Competes in Chattanooga

Eagles and Lady Eagles finish 19 and 18 in Large Field From State

September 26, 2020 Chattanooga, TN --  Rhea County High School Cross Country Team competed against teams from all across the state with private and public schools sending over 329 runners to the meeet held at the cross country course near Woodland Baptist Church near Chattanooga. Amy Baird the Rhea County Cross Country coach said, "This is, by far, the largest (and most competitive) meet that we´ve run this season.  There were many elite teams from middle Tennessee, as well as several from the private sector.  Our boys team was down 3 varsity guys, which included our top 2 runners.  It was a difficult task to score well as a team today.  Course conditions were also incredibly wet and muddy, so that tended to slow times down a bit as well.
