Rhea County Lady Eagles won their opening match of the season at home vs Signal Mountain 8-0 on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Three Seniors led the way for the Lady Eagles. Sophie Kay(1) Ava Travis(2) and Isa Holcomb(5) all won their matches matches with 8-1, 8-3 and 8-0 scores. Kay and Travis combined for an 8-1 doubles win to lead rhea to the 8-0 match win. Coach Lil Andrews after the match said, "This was a good team we played to open the season. The game was more challenging that the scored would seem to indicate. Hampton took carge of a close match as did Brock. Davidson managed her match well.
