Peggy Cochran was called home to be with the Lord on Friday Aug 16, 2024, with her family at her side. Peggy was born on Aug 18, 1941, in Cleveland TN. She graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1959. She then became a Lab Technician, moved to Rhea County and began working at Rhea Medical Center. Many people will also remember her from working for Dr. Forsten, and Dr. Lester Littell. She retired from Rhea Medical Center in 2008. Peggy was preceded in death by her father, John Francis Butler, and her mother Pauline Parkinson Butler. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Delano Cochran. She is survived by children, Barry (Tonya) of Dayton, Stephen (Kellie) of Coalfield, Tn, and Rachel (Tommy) Kilby of Oakdale, Tn. She is also survived by grandchildren, Lauren (Daniel) Huskey, Chase (Gracey) Cochran, Zachary (Katie) Cochran, Daniel Cochran, Tyler (Courtney) Harris, Noah (Beth) Harris, Wilson Cochran, Corey Kilby, and one step grandson, Michael Hargrove, in addition to 13 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. The grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. The family would also like to recognize her two very special life long friends, Joyce Billingsley and Brenda Works. She was a life long member of New Union Baptist Church. Who can find a virtuous woman? Peggy was known for her loving kindness, her gentleness, and willingness to help anyone and everyone. Her love and devotion to her husband and her children were unmatched. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 4-9PM and also Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 12 noon until the time of the service. Funeral service will be at 2PM in the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating. Burial will follow the service at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery
