February 1, 1981 - March 11, 2024

James E. “Bubba” Mears, age 43, of Dayton, TN passed away at his home Monday, March 11, 2024.  He was very family oriented and his momma’s baby, he was a big Tennessee fan and loved his dogs.  He was a member of the Church of God in Dayton, TN.

James was preceded in death by his father, James C. Mears, Sr. 

He is survived by his wife, Patty Mears, and his mother, Carol Mears, 1 child, Logan Jordan Mears & 5 step-children. Also, 2 sisters, Tonya (James) Kilgore, Pamela Maynard, and 1 brother, Don (Jessica) Mears, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
