Dayton City Girls Team Finishes Third at Sectionals: Boys Finish Sixth

9/22/23 Chattanooga, TN

Liberty Raymer, a 7th Grader at Dayton City School, finished first at the TMSAA Sectional held at Woodland Park Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Liberty helped propel her team to a third-place finish at the Sectional. Liberty ran the 2-mile run in 13:26:42. Teammate Serinitee Jackson finished 22nd with time of 15:49:90 and teammate Lily Praino finished just behind her with 15:51:99 time. Sophie Carroll of Athens Middle School finished 5th to represent local schools well and her teammate C.c. Coffie finished 10th. Athens finished second and Sale Creek finished 4th. Graci Harrison finished with a time of 15:36:41 to lead the Sale Creek lady runners. Jayci Shelton from Riceville Elementary finished with a 19th place finish.

Dillon Limanni of Alcoa Middle finished with 12:21:28 for first place finish in the two-mile for the boys. Athens Middle Schools Lennon Solesbee finished 2nd. Top finisher for Dayton City was Gavin McCosh with a time of 13;41:23. CSLA finished first in team competition and had 5 of the top 11 finishers with Aaron Jacob finished 5th for top CSLA finisher with time of 12:35.57.
