After Losing Lead in Third Quarter, Rhea County finished Fourth Quarter with 18-9 Surge For Win

Evensville, TN -- 12/11/23

Rhea County hosted Soddy Daisy on Monday, December 11, 2023. Rhea moved out to a 14-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. Lady Trojans battled back with small 11-10 second quarter advantage to pull within 24-21 a the halftime juncture. Soddy, behind 4 three-point baskets took the lead after 3 quarter by a 41-40 score to setup the final quarter. The trio of Cammie Ruehling, Lakyn Lockhart and Emma Reeves combined for 16 of the Eagles' 18 fourth quarter points as they finished strong for the 57-50 win. Cammie Ruehling led the Eagles with 19 points and had 4 steals on the night. Lakyn Lockhart and Jenna Burchard finished in double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively. Also scoring were Emma Reeves 8 points and Allie Shaver 6 points.

With the Win, the Lady Eagles pushes their season record to 6-4, while Soddy falls to 2-7.
