April 4, 1937 - September 2, 2024

Jimmy Tutor age 87 of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, formerly of Spring City, died on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was born on April 4, 1937 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to the late Rev. C.E. and Christine McGregor Tutor and has lived in this area since 1969. Jimmy attended Memphis State and graduated from U.T. Memphis. He owned and operated Spring City Pharmacy until his retirement. Jimmy worked for various pharmacies in the area afterwards. He loved to travel and do yard work. Jimmy also loved the mountains. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Spring City where he served as a Deacon and sang in the choir.

Jimmy is also preceded in death by his wife Glenna Smith Tutor, his son Timothy Dean Tutor, his brothers Johnnie, Joe, and Walter Tutor, and his sister Annette Morton.

Survivors include his children David (Tonya) Tutor and Mike (Victoria) Tutor both of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Chris (Barbie) Tutor of Spring City, Tennessee; his sister Susan (Larry) Eubanks of Knoxville, Tennessee; and his seven grandchildren Alexi Tutor, Bailey Tutor, Molly Tutor, Haley Tutor, Reagan Tutor, Lola Tutor, and Caroline Tutor.

As per Jimmy’s request, there will be no visitation and the services will be private. He will be buried in the Spring City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Baptist Church, 374 W. Jackson Ave, Spring City, Tennessee 37381 in his memory.
