Dayton City School Basketball Wins Over Rhea Middle Boys

Dayton, TN -- Dayton City School won 48-41 over visiting Rhea Middle School on November 8, 2022 in a very competitive game that saw team tied 40-40 leate in 4th quarter. Halston Shaver had 26 points to lead all scorers in the game. Harrison Tilley, Zack Waller and Casen Kinney chipped in with 6,4 and 4 points respectively. For Rhea Middle, Reece Pendergrass and J.T. Brown led the way with 12 and 10 points, while J.T. Donegan, Cason Hennessee and Keaton Cliff added 7,5 and 5 points respectively.
Dayton City got off to a very hot 10-1 start and led 15-5 after one quarter. Rhea Middle responded with a 17-10 second quarter to cut the Sweatbee lead to 25-22 at the halftime juncture. Dayton City won 3rd quarter by 12-11 margin to take a 37-33 lead into the last quarter. DCS had lead up to 7 at 36-29, but Rhea Middle made comeback to tie score 40-40 with 3;17 left in the game. Harrison Tilley and Halston Shaver hit back to back 3-point baskets to push the lead to 46-40 and DCS finished with 48-41 win.
