Gavin McCosh and Lily Praino Finish 10th and 7th
September 14, 2023: Athens, TN
Dayton City School Ran Cross-Country in Athens Tennessee on 9/14/23 in a 2-mile competition. Eleven runners competed in the meet for DCS. Lily Praino led DCS with a 7th place finish and Gavin McCosh led the boys with a 10 th place finish. There were runners from several local middle schools including, DCS, RMS, Ocoee, Cleveland, Lake Forest, Athens, Fort Loudon, CLA. Fairview, Mountain View, Riceville and Valley Christian. Lennon Sosbee from Athens Middle School led the boys' runners with a 12:18:95 time. Occoee Middle School won the team championship. Ocoee had 3 runners finish in the top 10. DCS finished 7th in boys' competition.
Lily Withrow from Ocoee Middle School was the top runner in the girls' division with a time of 13:41:72. Ocoee finished first in the girls' competition with three runners finishing in the top 10. DCS finished 4th in team scores.
