Barbara Ann Lenning Rowe, age 90 of Evensville, passed away at her home on Monday, September 2, 2024. She was born on October 8, 1933, in Brookhaven, Georgia, the daughter of the late Lawrence W. White and Nellie Ruth (Jackson) White. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Grady E. Lenning, Sr. and Don M. Rowe; her two grandsons, John Waldrop and Brian W. Lenning; and her step-son, Jeff Rowe.

Barbara spent her childhood in Brookhaven, Georgia; raised her family in Chamblee, Georgia; and retired to Evensville, Tennessee. She was a homemaker, attended Summer City Church of God, and loved chickens.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Grady E. (Alice) Lenning, Jr. of Evensville, Darlene Lenning (Buddy) Odom of Mobile, Alabama, and Betty Louise Lenning Waldrop of Semmes, Alabama; her two step-children, Steve (Wanda) Rowe and Mike (Sandy) Rowe; her five grandchildren, Barbara Jean Lenning Thomas, Kevin M. Lenning, Debbie Crane, Anthony Todd Meadows, and Angel Thomas; her three step-grandchildren, Jennifer Klamer, Ashley Harwell, and Kayla Rowe; her 20 great-grandchildren; and her eight great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service for Barbara will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Father Jim Vick officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Don Rowe. The family will receive friends at their home in Evensville after 3:30 p.m. to celebrate Barbara’s life.
