Kevin Takes on Role as Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for Eagles Football

Evensville, TN -- Kevin Whitson, in his third year as a Rhea County football assisstant coach, recently added strength and condition coordinator to his duties at Rhea County High School as well as inside linebacker coach. Kevin has coached inside linebackers during his previous two years as coach for Rhea County.

Kevin graduated from Bledsoe County High School in 2018 and the Unversity of Cumberlands in 2021 with a Bachelors in Exercise Science in 2021. In 2023, Whitson received a Masters in Arts in Teaching from the University of Cumberlands.

Kevin played four years of college football at The University of the Cumberlands at Inside Linebacker. During my college career I was a 4x NAIA Mid South Academic All Conference selection and a 1x NAIA Academic All American selection. His position with Rhea County Schools is the Weightlifting // Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Rhea County High School.

Previously, when asked about his selection or Rhea County as a place to work and coach, Kevin said, " I wanted to be apart of a school system that completely supports the athletic department and truly cares for every student in the system."
