Lady Eagles Host Sparta and Stone Memorial

Rhea County played a double header at home vs Stone Memorial and White County on Friday night, 4/12/24. First game was a rough one with Stone Memorial winning 42-7 over the Lady Eagles. After Stone Memorial and Sparta played, Eagles played Sparta(White County) and played much better with a 21-6 loss in that game.

Shailee Reese had 96 yards of offense and 2 touchdowns on the night. Maddie Neal had 56 total yards. Kloee Maerki had 43 yards rushing and 1 passing td. Lily Whitehorn had 35 yards receiving. Judith Castellon-Leyete ran for 29 yards, Giner Alvarado-Jimenez completed 1 pass for 64 yards and 1 touchdown. Kelsey Kerley was 2/5 passing for 35 yards.

On defense, Katie Tennyson led with 9 tackles and Alina Mejia-Rendon accounted for 6 tackles. Also registering tackles were Emma 3, Kloee 3, Sarah 3, Shailee, Kelsey, PK, Maddie, and Faith with 2. Ginger, Lexie, Judith and Asia recorded 1 each. Maddie Neal had a 23 yard interception return. Toal offense for the night was 259 yards. Defense recorded 21 tackles.

Lady Eagles will be in Crossville on Friday, 4/19/24 and will play at Stone Memorial with games starting at 5:30 EST (4:30 in Crossville). They are scheduled to play in the 2nd and 3rd games this week, so the game will start around 5:30 their time! (6:30 ours)

These will be the last games of the regular season, and Rhea County will travel to either White County or Stone Memorial on May 3rd for the championship tournament.
