October 16, 1974 - March 25, 2024

Jennifer “Nichole” Rice-Cannon, age 49 of Linden, TX, passed away at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX on Monday, March 25, 2024. She was born on October 16, 1974, the daughter of the late Larry Carter, and her mother Vickey (Arnold) Carter who survives her. Nichole is also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Cheyenne Rice.

Nichole lived in Dayton for 25 years, she also lived in Georgia and Colorado before moving to Texas. She was a graduate of Rhea County High School and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She cherished her grandchildren and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Dayton.

In addition to her mother, Vickey Carter, she is survived by husband, John Michael Cannon; her three children, Ashland Rice, Graclin Rice, and Luke Slatton, all of Linden, TX; her two grandchildren, Adelaide Knight, and James Waylon Pryor; and her brother, Jason Edens of Dayton.

Funeral services for Nichole will be in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Woychuk officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her baby daughter in Rhea Memory Cemetery.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN, where they will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
