Bulldogs Split with Bobcats: Tyler Lee leads Bulldogs with 20, Neal leads Lady Bulldogs with 14

Benton, TN -- Spring City Middle traveled to Chilhowee on Thursday, Januaray 13, 2021 for two varsity games against Chilhowee. Spring City split the games, with Bulldogs winning 48-32 and Lady Bulldogs dropping their game 32-28 in double overtime. Tyler Lee lead the Bulldogs with 20 points and Caleb Houston and Kaiden Rector were close behind with 16 and 14 points respectively. Also scoring for Spring City were Jayden Fitzgerald(3), Corey Ward(3) and Caleb Frechette(2). Eagles pushed their first quarter 15-9 lead up to 31-11 with 16-2 second quarter margin with Tyler Lee scoring 8 points to lead the way. Chilhowee fought back in second half with 31-22 difference as Griffen Hamby scored 10 second half points to lead the Bobcats offense in second half. Griffen finished with 13 points to lead the Bobcats.

Lady Bobcats and Lady Bulldogs played a close game with Chilhowee enjoying a 12-10 first half margin. Lady Bulldogs used Maddie Neals 10 points in second half to finishe with 25-25 tie at end of regulation. Brook Price lead the Lady Bobcats with 4 points in two overtime periods as they outscored Spring City 7-3 for the 32-28 win.
