Rothwell and Three Lady Eagles Move On to Region Play

Cleveland, Tn -- Matthew Rothwell secured a spot in Region play with his District Championship performance at the District Tournament held at Chatta Valley Golf Course on Monday, September 20, 2021. Matthew shot a 75 with huge put on 18 to seure the win with a 75 score and a one shot win over Ian Kinsley of Walker Valley who carded a 76 and teammate Roche Benjamin who also carded a 76. On the ladies side, Hannah Nall scored a 73 for the medalist honors. Three Lady Eagles made the cut for Rhea County. Rebecca Rogers was the top scorer for Rhea with 99. Also making the cut for Region play was Lillie Hunt and Nikitta Pilcher.

Three girls and boys teams moved on to region play. In boy's action that was Walker Valley, Bradley and Cleveland. In girls' action it was Cleveland, McMinn County and Walker Valley.
