Mason Ford Scores Four Touchdowns for Eagles

Evensville, TN -- Rhea Middle opened up their home 2021 football season with 40-24 loss to Cherokee Middle after opening season with 22-15 run at Cumberland County. Eagles and Cherokee went back and forth in the first half with the lead changing sevral times. Mason Ford scored 4 touchdowns for the Eagles, with two of those coming on kickoff returns. Ford had over 200 yards of total offense on the night. Cherokee matched the Eagles with 4 touchdowns of their own and held the halftime lead @ 28-24 because of 2 successful 2 point conversions. Cherokee scored 12 more points in second half, while holding Eagles scoreless to win 40-24. The 1-1 Eagles go on the road to play William Blount with 6:30 kickoff on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
