Boys lose to Soddy: Win against Stone Memorial

Dayton, TN -- Rhea County High School golf team hosted two matches and the boys' team came away with a split with matches against Soddy Daisy and Stone Memorial. Girls dropped the Soddy match and there was no girls' match vs Stone Memorial. After the Soddy match the girls' record droped to 5-4-1. After the Stone Memorial match, the boys' record stood at 7-5.

Soddy Daisy

The Soddy Daisy match was a 9 hole match play, boys march play and girls stroke play. Cooper Ruehling was the lone winner for the Eagles winning 2 up. Kevin Rothwell and Ross Pendergrass were edged by one stroke, while Connor Thompson was 2 down and Blake Wheat was 3 down at end of 9 holes. Girls totals were 49 for Becca Rogers and 50 for Lilliee Hunt. Soddy was lead by Madeline McNeal with 38, who earned medalist honors.

Stone Memorial 9 17 19

Kevin Rothwell 38 medalist led the Eagles. Ross Pendergrass finished with 43 and Cooper Ruehling and Blake Wheat finished with 47 each to total 175 for the team total. Stone Memorial finished with 183 team total.
