Rhea County Imagination Library Holds Celebration at Clyde W. Roddy Library

Dayton, TN -- Rhea County Imagination Library will be celebrating 15 years of Imagination Library in Rhea County and also the mailing of our 150,000th book. The celebration event will be on Wednesday, September 18th at the Clyde W. Roddy Library from 9 am until 12 pm.

The Rhea County Imagination Library is celebrating 15 years of providing free books to children ages birth to five years. Also, members of the book bus committee will hold a kickoff event to raise funds for the “Build the Bus” campaign. This bus will provide free books to children and adults in Rhea County. We would like for anyone interested in promoting literacy to stop by the library, tour the book bus from Bledsoe County, and make a donation to the Rhea County bus.

The Rhea County bus was donated by Rhea County Schools October 2018. We anticipate having the bus ready in May. The book bus is a project of the Dayton and Rhea County school systems. It is not funded by United Way or Imagination Library.
