Billie Ruth Jordan, age 74 of Sale Creek, passed away at her home early on Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was born in Sale Creek on November 30, 1950, the daughter of the late Willie Dee Higdon and Robbie Dean (Poole) Higdon. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Daris Akers, Ruby Scott, Willie Bell Walker, and Katherine Jordan.

Billie lived in Sale Creek her whole life, was a 1969 graduate of Sale Creek High School, and was a homemaker. She loved colored lights and Christmas lights, making the best sweet tea, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, Joshua and Jacob. She attended Sale Creek Church of God.

Billie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Walter “Spud” Jordan of Sale Creek; her daughter, Bethany R. Daughtrey (Dr. Kirk) Rogers of Sale Creek; her grandsons, Dr. Joshua Rogers and Rev. Jacob Rogers of Sale Creek; her sister Alice Rievley of Soddy-Daisy; her brothers, Danny (Chasity) Higdon of Sale Creek, John (Debbie) Higdon of Sale Creek, Stanley (Wadean) Higdon of Sale Creek, Eddie (Pam) Higdon of Dayton, and Dean Higdon of Soddy-Daisy; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Funeral services for Billie will be in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with her grandson, Rev. Jacob Rogers, and Bishop Terry Bolton officiating. She will be laid to rest in New Providence Cemetery in Sale Creek after the service.
