February 12, 1948 ~ February 7, 2025

Ralph "Cannon" Leroy Sharp, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 7, 2025, in Dayton, TN.  He was 76 years old.  Ralph experienced his sunrise on February 12, 1948 in Dayton, TN, to parents; Charles Ivory Sharp, Sr. and Mary Magdalene (Johnson) Sharp.  He grew up in Dayton, TN along with his four siblings.  He attended Carver High School.  Ralph worked at La-Z-Boy from 1975 until he retired in 2014.  Ralph was a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was always powerful.  His favorite TV shows to watch were, westerns, the news and sometimes sports.  He enjoyed fishing or just peaceful days visiting the lake and many more things in his earlier years.  If you looked hard enough, you could almost always find him behind a tall bush in the corner of his porch in his white rocking chair.  A fly swatter in one hand and a cold glass of brandy in the other, enjoying the sounds of nature.  Ralph loved and enjoyed his family porch visits, but only for so long.  He would let you know when it was about that time to go on home.

There is so much we will all miss about Ralph.  His "cheeky" smile, his deep, stern voice and honest sense of humor.  He always told you like it was.  We will always cherish his love and support and the loads of memories we have all created.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; Charles Ivory Sharp, Sr., and wife Mary Magdalene (Johnson) Sharp, wife; Sarah Madge Roddy, sisters; Phyllis (Ralph) Cofield and Jacqueline Roberson, and brothers; William "Billy" G. Sharp, Charles (Del) I. Sharp, Jr. and Robert "Bobby" E. Sharp, Sr.  

He leaves to cherish in his memories, his only child; Randall (Jessica) L. Sharp, grandchildren; Christopher J. Roberts from Murfreesboro, TN and Shaneika (Tyler) Sharp Moore and his great grandchildren; Aniyah D. Sharp, Arria E. Roberts and Tru E. Roberts both of  Murfreesboro, TN, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many more relatives.  He was loved by many. 

There will be a funeral service for Ralph on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 4PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Del Marie Sharp officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2-4.
