Ova Crowe Obituary

Ova Mae (Reed) Crowe, age 85, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024, at the Chattanooga Hospice Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Fannie Reed; son, James Arnold Knox; grandson, Tristan Drew Knox; brother, Dallas Reed; sister, Ola Watts; and stepdaughters, Donna Honey and Connie Hudson.

Ova Mae is survived by her devoted husband, Bobby Ray Crowe; daughter, Robin Knox Swift; stepdaughter, Janice Burton; sisters, Ima Jean Langston and Alice Faye Defur; six grandchildren, Jamie Davis, Jessie Dannel, Estan Knox, Drew Bowman, Jenny Knox, and Jordan Knox; six great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Known for her loving and nurturing nature, Ova Mae was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was passionate about shopping, traveling, and taking peaceful rides through the countryside with her husband, Bobby. These simple joys brought her great happiness, and her family will forever treasure the memories of those shared moments.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Mike Sneed officiating. Interment will be at Rhea Memory Gardens.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Chattanooga Hospice Care Center for their compassionate care during Ova Mae’s final days.

Ova Mae’s love for her family and her gentle spirit will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
