2022 RCHS Tennis Girls Run Record to 6-1

Rhea County Wins 7-2 Over Cleveland

Dayton, TN -- Rhea County High School Girls' Tennis ran their season record to 6-1 with 7-2 win over Cleveland High School in match played in Cleveland at Tinsley Park. Rhea County won four of the six singles competitions before sweeping the doubles events for the win. Winning for the Lady Eagles were Sophie Kay, Ava Travis, Hanna Logsdon and Ava Nelson(via forfeit). In doubles action the teams of Kay/Travis, Logsdon/Hampton and Davidson/Brock were winners with the last match being a forfeit. Sydney Hampton lost a close match 8-5 and Isa Holcomb lost 8-1. All other wins were from 8-0 to 8-3 variety. Cleveland had a player out with injury. Also playing practice matches for Lady Eagles were Nikkita Pilcher,Josie Davidson, Ava Nelson and Michelle Castillo. For individual game results check below.

Coach Andrews said, "The matches we won were very decisive and gave us a good look at the only district opponent we hadn't playd so far."

Rhea County is coached by Lil Andrews and Cleveland by Eric Stiles.
